About

Student transportation, rebuilt around trust.

CampusRidez is an independent platform for verified university students who are already traveling the same routes. We are not a taxi company and we do not employ drivers — we build the coordination layer that makes student carpooling practical.

Why we started

The seats were already empty.

Every weekend, students drive the same corridors in and out of Denton, TX with three empty seats. Meanwhile classmates in the same dorm pay for expensive commercial rides, skip trips home, or turn down internships they cannot reach.

The gap was never a shortage of cars. It was a shortage of coordination — a reliable way to know who was driving where, whether a seat was open, and where they could realistically stop along the way.

CampusRidez fills that gap with three deliberate choices: membership limited to verified university email addresses, per-passenger pickup and drop-off instead of vague meeting points, and every detail of a trip in one place rather than spread across group chats and screenshots.

What we value

The principles behind the product.

These are the trade-offs we make when a decision is not obvious.

Trust before growth

Verified university membership is a constraint we chose on purpose. It limits how fast we can grow, and it is the reason the community works.

Honest language

We describe what the platform does and where responsibility sits. We do not promise that technology removes the risks of getting in a car.

Built with students

Features come from the trips students actually take — the airport run at 5am, the Sunday drive back to campus, the internship commute.

Campus by campus

We would rather serve one campus well than launch everywhere with a thin experience. Expansion follows demonstrated demand.

Careers

Work on student mobility

We are an early team and we hire slowly. There are no formal openings posted right now. If you care about transportation access for students — engineering, design, campus operations or trust and safety — introduce yourself and tell us what you would want to build.
